The purpose of Relief Society is to help prepare women for the blessings of eternal life as they increase faith in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and His Atonement. To strengthen individuals, families, and homes through ordinances and covenants. To work in unity to help those in need.

This blog was created for the Woodland Hills Ward Relief Society sisters. It's purpose is to share information, unite and help each sister grow closer to Jesus Christ. This is not an official site of the LDS Church, and the opinions and statements are not representative of the church as a whole.

Sunday May 24th, Stake Message

Dear brothers and sisters of the New Canoga Park Stake,

Good morning to you on this special Memorial Day weekend. How blessed we are that so many of our countrymen, and their families were willing to sacrifice all to serve and protect this country and the world. As we remember these fallen heroes today and tomorrow, may we learn how to live in such a way that it shows our gratitude for their loving sacrifice.
I’d like to focus on a principle today that changes everything in the lives of individuals, and thus changes the world. The word is ministering. All around us, and indeed within our own families, there are individuals that will greatly benefit from simple acts of love and caring from another person. Receiving the gift of service from another person means to receive their love and allows the minister to show their love for God (refer to Mosiah 2:17). Simultaneously, the life of the minister is blessed in a manner that cam come in no other way.
I have put together a personal message along with church video clips that will help us all learn more about ministering and be inspired to more deeply appreciate and live as true Christian ministers.

You can view the video at https://youtu.be/HKDqBoiC0eM

Faithfully yours,

Ben Grasteit
